Salina Kalnins

Tekonsha, MI

Salina Kalnins is a full-time artist from Tekonsha, MI. She combines her painting skills with her love of nature and the ocean by painting scenes directly onto the surfaces of actual nautical charts. Using primarily acrylic paint, she paints scenes with boats, lighthouses and beach scenes in combination with the appropriate markings on the charts which create guides for marine landscape paintings.

Salina’s artwork has been featured nationally in Power & Motoryacht Magazine, as well for the Milwaukee, WI and Grand Rapids Boat Shows. She has created artwork for book covers, wine labels, music groups, and community mural projects, and private collectors involved with boat and yacht clubs all over the country.

Salina has also been commissioned to paint almost 200 nautical chart paintings for our U.S. Navy service members currently on deployment all over the world. Salina currently exhibits and sells her artwork at several art fairs and art galleries across Michigan.
